Morning everybody!  Thanks for sharing all your projects on here.  It is really fun seeing what you're all up to.  I'd like a cup of that coffee too, if you're offering.  Sure with I could share the real thing with a bunch of you.  Hopefully some day.  Have a great Sunday!

After putting the first couple coats of tru oil on the two bamboo/maple bows, I started a new bow and accomplished my favorite part of the bow-making process.....making new strings 😃

Forgot to mention, the new bow I started on is a 62” piece of 1/2” hickory and I glued up a Che Chen riser last night and am planning on making a bamboo backed static recurve.

I cleaned up the tape and glue on my splice job. Looks good. Its so nice seeing tight glue lines. No matter what you're gluing up. I got several arrows fletched as well. Good weekend in the shop for me. I really enjoyed seeing everyone's work from around the globe. Pandemic schmandemic we had our fun all the same, not sure when the entire (mostly) world has been in the same boat like we are right now.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

That turned out great Ed.  I cant wait to see it on the Mojam Auction table. hah

The important thing to remember about how your splices turned out Chris is that you did you best I got this I'm home for the day so I am going to get a little more work done in the shop. I got this sassafrass stave bending to 45@22  but am still dealing with a stiff spot. Hopefully it will work it self out in the last few inches.

You got the roof fixed and looks like you’ll have that stiff spot fixed soon to Dave. :BB

I was going ack to my pond and then to the shop but my Deep Roots cousin called. Hour and a half later and I’m just heading to the shop. Has a good visit

I still have a little grip work and some final sanding. I have put a few arrows through it and it is holding 2-1/2" of reflex. I imagine I will lose some of that.

That looks great Ryan! Nice work. That bocote is going to look great under a leather grip.

Some pictures from the roof.
