Thanks for the greeting BJ & Deerhunter21

What you gonna attack in the shop tonight Paul? Post some pics buddy, I'll be awake for at least another hour. ;)

HHB is nice bow wood as you know Ryan, looking forward to seeing what you make from it. I got another bow tip picture for you. :) This is a osage stiff handle bow I finished yesterday for son-in-law #2. 63.5" ntn and around 46# or so at 27".
Got first coat of varnish on it today. Didn't get many pics but again if the varnish is dry enough tomorrow to string I'll try to get a full draw pic.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

Good to see you again Greg!  I was wondering of you were going to show up!

Great to see you on again Greg.  As usual, you've made some beautiful bows, I love the artwork on them.

That's gonna be a great looking bow Bob, I like all the wiggle in it.

Glad to hear your back to making shavings again Clint.

Cool looking quiver Ed, I foresee some beadwork on the shoulder strap

Aaron~"Cool looking quiver Ed, I foresee some beadwork on the shoulder strap"... I can save you the trouble of doing a lot of extra work Ed... I don't need anything that fancy on that BobCat quiver...  (lol)

Lots of cool ideas on this thread guys... keep the pictures coming please...  :OK
Seems like common sense isn't very common any more...

If you are just correcting one limb I would let it sit overnight. If you are doing both, I would let the first cool and stabilize for 1/2 - 1 hr before removing any clamps and starting the next.  I would definitely not start bending it again until tomorrow. I assume you are using dry heat and not steam? If you are using steam disregard everything i said.

Another nice stick Greg. From all the photos it appears you have been busy. I hope to see some of these bows this spring.

First off deerhunter, if it were me I would wait on tht correction. Get those limbs worked down a bit more before puttin the heat to it, less mass equals better corrections. Veg oil the belly and heat until you cant hold your finger on it... second it's so cool to all the amazing work goin on here. Thanx Dave for puttin this together... deerhunter let it sit until it feels cool again

I'm waiting for pics from night owls Paulsemp & Stixnstones, hurry up fellas it's almost my bedtime. :D

One more set of pics of the scalloped osage I finished last month. I think it is around 61" ntn and 46# at my 24" draw.
Tomorrow I start on the osage in the last pic that I chased a ring on at the end of the day today.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.
