Well guys, with being sick and the weather being crazy and life it's self. I haven't gotten any more work done on my trade bow. But managed to get some sinew processed out for sleeks trade bow. We made a trade, I get some nice goodies and he gets his trade bow sinewed. Hopefully we will have some pics this weekend!

On a different note. I know we all work with staves, boards, scrapers, draw knives, and rasp. All of these items can and will hurt you if your not careful. So when your working on your trade bow or anything in your shop. Please be careful!
Here is a picture of a pretty good gouge I got when my stave slipped out of my shave horse. I was really digging in wit my draw knife and not paying attention to how much pressure I was putting on the foot pedal. Now I was lucky because I was wearing a hoodie and this is from the sharp edges on the stave it's self. The draw knife hit me in the stomach too but not enough to even cut my shirt. So please be careful and have fun. I would hate for someone not to be able to finish their trade bow because of an accident. Patrick

That's true yesterday I was working on a stave and I put it in a vise and then butt  the end into my stomach while I use the draw knife and I got done and noticed breathing felt weird. I looked in the mirror and have this baseball size bruise right below my rib cage. BATTLE WOUNDS

On a different note I somehow managed to delete my trade bow guys details/specs.....I've PM'ed the Bowtrade2015 account but got no reply. Hopefully they see it here and can PM me my guys specs again please. I'm ready for final tillering, I was going to do a lam bow but as I didn't have the specs I didn't want to cut lams that were too thick and then spend more time than needed on reducing them afterwards so i've gone for a plain,simple get the job done elm flatbow.

If you know your guy name,  you could look up their specs on the sign up page from back in February. You might give that a shot, it takes a few minutes but you could get it finished while you're waiting for their address. Patrick

Going to be cutting into plan A pretty soon, plan B is in a build-along I've been promising Reddit for a long time, just finished chasing the ring.
