Can't say I've got much more done than before. Floor tillered and ready for alignment. But I'm finally down to two jobs so I'll be able to get something done as soon as I get back from Mexico.

Though I've got something I havnt ran into before, there was a damaged spot on the stave that the tree grew back over. So on the back its a couple layers of solid wood and on the belly it appears like its naturally laminated side by side. It's mid limb and at the moment about 4" long but I think this should be gone by the time tillering is done. Though because of this there is some curl on just the edge of the limb that goes back to belly for about 1/2" of the width. I'm just worried about the curl if it will cause me problems. I sure hope not since I love the look it gives that spot.

Mines pretty much built. Just letting it drop a bit more moisture so I can heat treat the belly, then lay sinew and finish tiller.

Plans A-E:  Three elm staves laid out and reduced. Waiting for them to lose some moisture.  I think one of them will be a really good bow for the trade.  As backup, I have one Juniper, sinew backed and curing.  One maple. Also a Sidewinder osage stave if all else fails.  That one is for my son, if I can get a bow from one of the others.  After violently blowing up the last stave I tillered,  I admit I am feeling gun shy about bending wood at the moment. Every little flaw makes me skittish.

Got my plan A shooting. I know I have a good one when I don't want to give I away. Seems to shoot well. Very smooth. Still need a bit of tiller work and to shape the tips.

I've more or less finished mine, it just needs shooting some and fine tuning.....then i've got to cut it in half and turn it into a takedown...... >:D

Little teaser. Top limb is done except many many coats of. Poly. Bottom limb needs another hour or so.

Got plan A shooting today.64-1/2ntn elm stave, shoots quite good and fast(kinda holmie design).had a bit of deflex on one side of both limbs that came back after a medium cooking.now on to plan B,same style 60-1/2" ntn.i love the way a holmgaard shoots, even better than a molly I think! >:D!seems more stable anyways 6 in a pie plate, flat as a pancake at 25 yards today made me go holy cow, shoots pretty good and i'm a bad shot!lol!

My wife had a stroke nearly two weeks ago so my heartwood hickory trade bow work got side tracked.  BUT, it's about 95% tillered and I still need to reduce the weight a bit.  Hoping to glue on the tip overlays tomorrow......she's coming but more slowly these days.  Maybe I can post a pic soon.

Thanks Bob.  She had a fairly mild stroke and she is starting to make progress, so we're blessed about that.
