Wow, Been gone for a week and got back to see 14 pages of progress. Some incredible work you all are doing. Looked at so many pages don't know where to start as far as compliments.  But just to let you know Pat,  My draw is already 25".   ;D ;D ;D

Yes Sir,

There's some fine looking wood beginning to show on this thread already...
I'm still sitting on the "Wood" fence:

Osage?
Pacific Yew?
Pacific Dogwood?

Decisions Decisions... The Osage Stave I have roughed out is a Monster... Could make a Telephone Pole Bow outa it...
The Dogwood Stave is A Purty Sapling that would make a nice Heavy Bow.
The Yew is a Tight Ringed Problem Child... Very Knotty but Wide and long... And would demand Sinew backing.

:)

Some stunning work on display already, a bit manic at work at the moment but I've got a weekend early next month that I've already dedicated to working on this project so some piccies from me in 5 or 6 weeks.

I think I am the first one to receive a trade bow  ;D  I think it is from Wildcat Hunter.  It is a beautiful osage bow with a leather handle wrap and a turkey beard hanging from it.  It draws smooth and I'm sure it will fling an arrow with some zip.  There isn't anyone to take a full draw picture and I have to leave for work in a few minutes so that will have to wait.  I am very happy to receive this bow.  Thank you very much Wildcat Hunter  :)

I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Thanks guys, Osage Outlaw, I hope it does you good. I really hesitated to send it - I like it, shoots well. In fact I had another bow I was going to send but this was made for you, soooooooooooo, hope it does you well. Turkey beard LOL, read my previous post!
