Alright fellas here's some pics of the two bows I have pert near ready to go.
First up is the rock elm with light sinew and snakeskin cloth backing.

I played around with the staining until I was able to suggest a belly scale pattern. I kinda like it. It adds to the overall look.



Next is the hornbeam mollie with wood burnt levers showing the leaves and "fruit" of the tree.



I'm leaning toward the first one simply because it's a better shooter. Unless heat treating the belly on #2 gives it a huge boost in performance I think it will be the rock elm. I figured I'd show them both cause they both look pretty good, but when it comes to launching arrows there is a clear winner.
I'll try to do some full draws tomorrow, but it's pretty late on the weekend and if I go outside drawing bows at this hour, I may attract unwanted attention and possible over reaction.
