We should have a thread going for "mail person stalkers"   A place for posting pictures of all us hopeless hopefulls watching the front porch

I'm not in the bow trade this time around, but last time I set up two treestands and a ground blind near the mailbox.

The 5 or 6 trailcams had pretty much patterned the mailman and I knew his daily route by heart and could almost set a watch by his pattern.  After that it was just a matter of "playing the wind" and chosing the right position to wait from.

Must have been the Camo JW :o

Got a little work in on a trade bow candidate .  I put about two hundred arrows through it took a pic of it unbraced.  This design takes alot of set , but this might be to much.  I don't know yet.  What do you folks think?  It started with 1" reflex.  What say you?   Josh

OK...so I finally got a chance to work some more on the hbi that the handle popped off of a couple of weeks ago. I moved the fades in closer to the handle and started shaping the handle area. Here is the handle area from the ipe side.

Here it is from the hickory side...

I still haven't narrowed the tips...

Here it is 47# @ 20". I am shooting for???

The tips are kinda stiff, but I feel like when I narrow them, they'll come in line. Next week it will be time to work it down a little more and build up the handle.

Oh....by the way, I've been shopping for a better band saw. I went to a yard sale that advertised one. Of course, when I got there it had a big sold sign on it, but guess what! I found this! I've been looking for one of these, too.  Sorry about the background clutter. I tried it out on some hickory today and it works great. I think it's an antique. Maybe one of you guys can tell.

...Sorry about the background clutter...

That's not background clutter!!  Those are essential bowmaking implements strategically placed to maximize their effectiveness!  (Practicing for my wife's next foray into the shop :)).

Your bow is looking very nice.  I think that's going to work out just fine.

Thanks for the encouragement fellas.  I just went out to eyeball it and it has returned to 1/2"  reflex.  It may work out after all.  Josh

Thanks, Coaster500, I still may shorten is some, though. It is 66" ttt which might be a little long for a bendy handle according to some folks on here more knowledgeable than I. I will probable get it to weight first and narrow the tips and shoot it some, before I decide.

Thanks George. I tell my wife the same thing. Not sure she believes it, though.

Gun Doc...it that what they call a gull wing design? (I think that's the right term)
