Another great loss for the archery community

I just read on Trad Gang that our own George(Jawge) Tsoukalas has passed away. This really saddens me. George has been a main contributor to PA and this is a terrible loss for the PA family. RIP George and thank you for all you did for PA and wood bow archery.

So sad to hear this. George offered so much to the wood bow community. Thank you "Jawge" for sharing all your knowledge over the years. Sure will miss his posts. May he rest in peace. Prayers for his family and loved ones. As George himself would always say "May his memory be eternal".

This is sad news indeed. George was certainly a great contributor to this site and others. I’m sure he helped many new bowyers with his website. He will certainly be missed by many.

This is the email that Joan, George's wife sent to Jeff Springer(tippit). Jeff is a friend of the family.

 Unbelievable news. George suddenly got very sick.  Kathy called 911 at 2 aM  yesterday.  He had  Sepsis, obstructed bowel, bilateral pneumonia, dead bowel. On Thursday night when he started feeling weak and nauseous, we thought it was side effects from the chemo he had.   LGH ambulanced him to Tufts Medical Center for them to decide if there was anything operable.   George took his last breath at 12:29PM.    Father Gregory  stayed with us the whole time in Boston. . We are in shock, this was so sudden.  We need lots of prayers and support.  🙏🙏🙏This is unreal.

George enjoyed spending time every day on some archery website.   Could someone make a post telling everyone. George loved his “archery family”.  He recently made yet another bow.   You have no idea how many bows and arrows we have, all made by George.

I sent this to the list of archery friends I had in my contacts.  Please share.

WOW , that is so sad , he will be greatly missed for sure. Thought and prayers for his family, just goes to show you just never know, none of us have another day promised so make the best of all of them.

I know its said often, but the this time its true. There is only one Jawgey poo. He wouldn't say a bad thing about anybody in anyway. Always encouraging people to keep making bows.

I've never met any of y'all in person, but if there's one guy I could shed a heartfelt tear for it's George. Both directly in replies to my questions and indirectly via his website I have learned so much from him. I think of him as my selfbow dad, and I imagine I've got hundreds or even thousands of selfbow siblings out there. What a cool legacy to leave. Rest easy.
