I've never met any of y'all in person, but if there's one guy I could shed a heartfelt tear for it's George. Both directly in replies to my questions and indirectly via his website I have learned so much from him. I think of him as my selfbow dad, and I imagine I've got hundreds or even thousands of selfbow siblings out there. What a cool legacy to leave. Rest easy.

You got that right, little brother. We lost a father figure in Jawge. Now, all we can do is do as he did; pass it along.

I would encourage everyone out there reading this to find a student and teach them as a tribute to Jawge.

Agreed. I've had my actual son at the bench with me for the last several days and he won't be the last one.

Jawge was not only a great brother of the bow, he was truly a great human being. He will be missed

I don’t post anymore but I do check in and read what others have been posting. This is certainly bad news. RIP, Jawge…

Truly sad news, Been out of touch for almost a month and just now getting to catch up. From my time being on, here we've lost a master of the art.
RIP Jawge

Prayers going out to Jawges family. he was one of the best here, and the wealth of knowledge he had he shared with all. He went out of his way to make sure newbies got the help they needed, including me. Rest in Peace.

Praying for his family.  George was a kind man, a teacher, a mentor and a class act.  He always stayed above the negativity.  I will miss him.

This place just wont be the same without Jawgey Poo. It's still not settled within me. It stings as much as it did a few days ago.
