I decided to take a picture of my 2020 wooden bow production today since I was able to put the finish on two of them this past weekend. I'm very pleased with how they shoot, but I still have A LONG ways to go before I can put the finish on them the way some of you guys do. I am amazed as how beautiful the finish on some of your bows is. I suspect I am just not patient enough. As soon as I get one shooting.....I'm on to the next and the finish ends up being an afterthought! I love these board bows so much that I realized its been over 20 years since I made a stave bow!
The shorter two are kids bows for my three. The longest is 67" and the shortest adult bow is the recurve at 60". The adult bows all pull between 45# and 55# at 27" and have Perry reflex and bamboo backs. All of them are assorted hickory and maple lumber from the local lumber yard; some 1/2", some 3/4", and some 5/4" and glued with with Titebond 3.
Keep posting lots of pics of your bows. I really like seeing them all!
