Joachim's Yew
« on: January 20, 2019, 08:41:36 am »
Nothing special here, only a little bow for a friend, it's his first bow so it doesen't matter it she got a little light. Had an issue with a branch which I had to work around so that I first wasn't sure if I could get a bow out of that stave. Tiller is not perfect but further tillering would have tillered the bow away completly. As it's short and straight I left the outers stiff for better string angle. 62"ntn, 28# @ 28".
Cheers

Got some nice character there...  :)
I love the bulge on the back and the hook for your car keys ;)

That yew sure is pretty. Nice job. Not sure what the issues with tiller are, looks pretty darn good to me.

Cool little bow. I'm sure Joachim will love it.

Thanks guys. It's really nice to see so many great bows here so im I'm trying to contribute, humble.
Sidewinder, if I had the room I gave it a little more bend top limbs, mid to outer (-; but yew dont care at that draw weight
