Stalker, I believe it's just the way the sun is reflecting. It's a tru oil finish, but it's lighter in person.

Interesting as I think juniper heartwood is basically red, and looks like yew.

That is a handsome bow and so well crafted.  A treat to see.  Congrats on a fine job Cloudfeather.

Depending on the type of Juniper. Rocky Mountain is red, Utah is the same as what he has posted.

Great looking bow.  Tiller to finish look spot on.  Those skins look sweet as well.

Wow, that's a sweet bow!   The bend looks spot on, and great finish work like others have said.   What variety of juniper?  Also, how much sinew does it have on it?

Thanks, everyone.

Falcon - My friend who sent it said he's pretty sure that it's one seed juniper. It was about 2-1/2 elk leg tendons worth of sinew.

Paoliguy - The quiver is a harness style quiver that I made a few months back. I posted pictures over on Around the Campfire, I believe.

Really good looking, but I wonder why that juniper is yellowish in color?
Just the way juniper sapwood is:)
