It's unfortunate that there are some loose ends here. I've only done the trade for 2 years so I'm still very inexperienced in the trade goings-on.  I really like Kelly posting his bow. It shows he's making an effort to do a good job and asking for advice. I would rather have something that didn't perform as well that was posted a few times and was a legitimate best effort rather than something that arrives without posts that represents a lackluster effort.  I almost think that posting at all points of the build should be mandatory.

Ok I have weight left on this bow So I am not worried. I will take more off to get the inner bending more. I have the lenght to make up some weight if I need too. I use a gizmo to tiller. But I trust the eye of those who have built hundreds more then I.

Well I guess this will be a learning experience for Kelly.  To be fair, he does have a fairly smooth bend where the limbs are bending, even though there are a couples small hinges in the left limb, it's just that it's concentrated in too small of an area

Some of us get a little heated. It happens when people are passionate about things. This is a great group of humans. As Patrick said, we are like a family. We will get through this, and we will hopefully all learn something from it. I know I have. Every lesson I get for free in life that doesn't end with me in jail is a welcome one!

Kelly, thanks for posting this build. You will learn more from this than anything you could accomplish on your own. This is a good example of how all new builders should proceed especially when being involved in a bow trade.

If everyone would follow this example there would be very few problems with the trade.

And I agree with bubbles!!!

+1  ...and those that failed to check in at the agreed upon intervals could be preemptively dropped from the trade and forestall all of this last minute angst and pain folks are dealing with right now.

I personally wont participate if a list of rules grows longer than the list of participants. I like the bow trade but find personal trades more and more appealing. I dont like following rules created because of other's incompetence. Just my thoughts.

Jon, it wouldn't bother me to post progress because I need all the help I can get. And I wasn't referring to the longtime members and builders. I'm referring to all of us newbies. Just because we have 1000 posts doesn't mean some of us don't require a little advice and nudge once in a :)while.
