received a text about noon that my trade bow had arrived at the shop.
no one would tell me the return name on the box...
so i have to wait another cupla hrs before i can go pick it up
man do i feel like a 6 yr old waiting for xmas morning!

Remember, you can make a didgeridoo out  of the "box"  ;)

Not caring about deadlines (builders) and folks complaining about missed deadlines (receivers) will put an end to these fun things, who will want to head it up? Not me.

Ain't getting in a running argument, just want to say that I was trying
to take pressure off, not put it on. We all know how much can go wrong
building a bow for someone else and it can take a lot of time.

My only bitch was that it takes very little time to send an email and Pat
has even requested that himself. May be a snafu in the bow assignments or
some such that will never be found if we don't talk about it.

It is not about receiving. Ain't whining about not getting a bow on time or not at all.
But this far past the dead line I do feel that a little courtesy note would be appropriate.

Lane I agree with you fully.......I think some of the prior post could have been taken the wrong way, which is easy to do when it is typed and not spoken face to face.  As I and many more agree it is the joy of making not the getting.  I sure enjoyed what I received from you and I would not have cared if you still were working on them.  I would wait.  But that being said everyone knew the deadline and should have sent out PM's letting folks know if they were having problems or could not do it at all.  It has been requested several times by Pat to know what was happening and going on.  It was even stated in the rules that you had to update as often as possible on the board or not be able to do this next year.  If I am not mistaken.
Happy hunting to all!

I had revived notification from beven and i know that all who have not completed have a darn good reason "we all have been in some sort of spot at one time or another "but i would rather not know whom is building mine tell it gets here as it adds to the excitement ;)so a pm from builders to receivers is a buzz kill imho so a pm from pat or beaven is my preferred method of info...what a hoot just to be a part of the trade!
Is this bow making a sickness? or the cure...

I apologize if I came off as complaining in the post that I made, that wasn't my intent. I was just making a point about how things had gone over in the past. I love being involved in this trade and plan to continue being involved in it.

My phone gets that way sometimes and I have to wipe dirt or a smudge off the plastic cover over the camera lens. Makes a big difference.
