Here is xxxxxxx's bow after I got a it braced and before I added the rawhide


And braced before rawhide it is still pretty heavy here it took all I had to get her stung


Ill get a picture of it with the rawhide as soon as possible, it took on a little more reflex after adding the rawhide.

Thanks guys I hope its new recipient enjoys it, it is really light wood so it should make for a fast bow! 

Pat the baby is good! He gained a pound already so he is doing good and momma is doing good to. I think I may have landed me a job working in the woods so im hoping that turns out!! The job there logging right now has allot of Yew on it going in the slash piles so I hope I get to scrounge around a bit but we will see.

Ill get a picture of the bow with the rawhide on it here in a few.

I have a beaver tail I wanted to treat for the handle or grip and I also have some Sturgen skins I was thinking of using to cover up the rawide. How should I go about drying or tanning them? Or do I treat them just like any hide? I may also just use some Rat Snake I got in a trade on here to cover the rawhide and pretty it up some. What are your suggestions? Thanks

I will wait to apply the skin untill after I get her tillered out to make sure she is gonna work

Ya bubby I just wasnt sure if I should brain tan it or just stretch it out and let it dry? or what. Most of the tanning I do I use sulfiric acid as thats what I have :-[ Just wanting to get some incite from others I may just use the snake skin :-\

i know on my snake skins i either just dry them or soak for a day or two in glycerin, the lose scales basically just fall off with the glycerin, Bub
