Qusetion Rich...
The stepping along the sides of the bow. Any ideas as to the function?

Bowmakers are a little bent, but knappers are just plain flaky.

Bevan:   After shaping the bow and checking the floor tiller it bent pretty well but the tips looked stiff to me, after cutting in the side cut pattern the draw profile just took on that nice "round look" and the limb tips didn't need to be thinned any more.....just scraping down to some semblance of a weight I could handle. In my experience the side cuts helped round out the profile.....but I really dont know why the NA's did it for sure.

But I have a question for ya.......Is there always snow on the ground where you live? I mean seems like ever bow I see you post, there is that same snow? ???

Thanks fellas,
       Mancelona, Mi. averages 220" of snow a year, between the lake-effect and the system snow....it usually aint pretty. Been single digits for more than a month, but hey, we warmed up to 20 today.....course it's now snowing some more as well......ya it get's old about this time of year.
