Seen a post over on the Huntin and Shootin section where Beatlebailey showed a picture of his 5yr old son shooting, and said as how he like to shoot with his dad. Couldn't resist the temptation so I made a bow for him that's just like his fathers.
Here's Jacobs bow, 48" ntn, 20# @ 18" and 30# @ 23"....tillered out to 25" total draw. Elm self bow, same wraps, grip and stuff as his dad's. The finish is the same also, thinned pine tar, followed by the regular spruce pitch/grease mixture. Shoots real nice and I'll will flight shoot it tomorrow and post the results.....then got to get it in the mail. Allmost forgot....the lower limb says "dragonslayer bow" and the top limb has his name on it.
It was a blast to make, hope ya like it.

Flight shot the little bow today. Was 9 degrees, and light snow but the wind laid down to allmost nothing. The lighest arrow I could make (with available material) was 450 grains, and 3 - 5" fletch. Had 23" of draw which put it right at 30#. That put the arrow at 15 grains per pound of draw. It averaged 110 yards and had one arrow out to about 113 yards. (Too much snow to use the odometer wheel.)
