Joe showed up to work on a James Parker blank and I decided to finish tillering my hawthorn bow . Got it out to 42@26, a little lighter than I wanted but shoots really fast with a 550 grain arrow , I think it will be a good hunting bow even with the low weight. :)

With some help from Shawn Joe got his shooting, turned out nice, I also got mine ready to shoot so of course we had to take them out on the range. ;)

Had a great weekend, some shop work/shooting with friends and some good food, pretty relaxing. Got another knife finished and my Hawthorn bow done all but more tru oil. :) Also got my pack loaded with 42 lbs and done about a mile hike to get started. Need to get on that hard over the next few months. Got the finish on my last knife and stand also. :)

Blade ready to heat treat and handle all laid out. Also Hawthorn bow ready to put the finish on.  :) It is a really sweet shooter for the weight.

Made a stand for the new knife, I didn't like the way the hamon lines showed up so decided to etch with mustard, that really brought them out.

Also didn't like the way the handle felt on the hawthorn so I took the large hemp wrap off, reworked the grip and redone with smaller diameter hemp, feels nice now. :) Back strap for supper.
