There was a member that frequented the old message board in the early 2000 by the name of Daniel Higginson, Daniel lives/lived in AR. Daniel’s username was Dano. I'm sure some of the older members here remember him, perhaps not fondly. I had worked out a trade with Dano, I sent him one of the heat-treated recurves I was making at the time in exchange for a couple Osage staves. I only got 1 stave from Dano, it was a bit on the short side but large enough for a couple bows and very clean so I didn’t complain. I made one bow from a belly split out of the stave but still had a piece left over which has been sitting in one of my wood storages for the last 20 years. A couple months ago I got the urge to make something with it and decided to make a copy of an Elm bow I made many years ago, which I don’t have anymore. This was the Elm bow I more or less copied

The dimensions of this bow are similar except it's 2" shorter with 1 ˝” wide limbs instead of 1 5/8". There was quite the bend at one end which I removed and then steamed in some small recurves. No heat-treating done on the bow although I did use dry-heat to set the recurves and to even out the little reflex it did have. With the recurves it started out with about 4” of tip setback and ended up keep a couple inches
The specs are 55” N to N with 1 ˝” wide limbs pulling 55# @ 28". Here are some pics
