I got this stave from a friend. It didn't have enough heartwood to make a bow so I decided to try a sapwood backed Osage. It's 48@28 65". The tips are olive wood my mom brought back from Israel in the early 80s. It shoots pretty good. I want to give a special thanks to Pearl Drums for coaching me thru this one. He suffered thru many text messages and pics! Thanks for posting these pics and for all your help Chris, I really appreciate it:)

looks sweet.  Love the olive wood tips.  So how does it compare in your mind to a heartwood osage?

Gaur, of the 3 Osage I've made I don't feel any difference so far. I don't have much experience as a Bowyer though so take it for what it's worth.

Good lookin' bow, Steve. Those tips are super cool!!

imo & based on personal experience . . . . . Chris, as well as several others on here, are good coaches. And, just as importantly, having the patience of Job!

Great job  on the bow.  The color contrast should look great as that osage darkens up.
