Jensen that looks really, really good. I hope to see it in the mail in a few days, since Patrick's (once again) appears to be tillered to a too-short draw for me  :'(.   I have seen so much good work in this trade that I am anxious to see what shows up.

Sorry  jeffp51, I guess I miss read the private message with my victims name!  >:D

I do agree that there has been some very beautifully designed and finished bowes! I would be honored to receive any of the bows made by this group of guys! Patrick

Can those of you who have received bows please post a few pictures? I would love to see how some of the bows turned out that we saw being built.

I glued up a bamboo dragon (James Parker style) yesterday and was excited to get it out of the hot box and start cleaning it up.  I then realized I put the carbonized bamboo on the backing side and two lams on the belly side.  Made the bow backwards.  Bummer.  James said it the carbonized backing would fail so I'll have to try it again.  :o  Pretty disappointing.

I had a black walnut bow in the works.  Pretty short and not so confident in it so set it aside.  Cut out a ironwood stave.  Cut it last fall and put the moisture meter on it and it said it was 18%.  So that was out.   Going to try another Bamboo Dragon here but had to take a break to recover from my dyslexic moment.

Grip is stitched on.  Bow is in the truck and I'll be at the range later today putting the final arrows through it before I ship.  How are you guys shipping yours?  Bubble wrap and pvc tube?

Ok as promised some tillering pics

I have this bow bending the right limb needs some work on the inner 3rd.  And the left is just stronger I think.

Brace

Near the full draw. I am within an inch or so. I am near the top of the draw weight so I am sure I can get a good tiller.

The string tracks just off the handle. So I will toast the belly and get the string closer to center.

I was wondering the same thing--especially with a fair amount of recurve in the tips. I was wondering about swim noodle foam and cardboard
