more shafts
« on: January 08, 2014, 12:26:00 pm »
Once again I've got plenty of P.O.C. shafts to trade. These are my seconds in 3/8" diameter and 32" long. There are 600 total. This is only about 2% of the the shafts I've made in the past few weeks. Had a crew of 5 making shafts for about 13hrs a day. I'd prefer to trade them off in bundles of 50 but I understand not everyone wants that many. All need to be straightened, none have been spined, and a few will need sanding. A few of you guys were interested a few weeks ago when I traded some off. Sadly, when I cleared out my messages, I lost alot of contact info by mistake. Sorry about that.
I'm looking for arrowheads,(both trade tips and stone,) sinew, knife blades, (again both steel and stone), turkey feathers (both wing and tail,) antlers, furs, leather, beaver tails, snake skins (prefer copperheads,) and open to other items . Pm me  with any offers. Thanks!!! :)

Warpath, you are an arrow shaft making fool!  :) People keep asking me where to buy wooden arrows from, I keep recommending them your etsy store, I hope that is cool with you. I don't know anybody else making arrows really, other than 3rivers, and those chinese made arrows you see on ebay and stuff, but I wouldn't mess with them personally, no matter how cheap the price is.

Toomanyknots-  Thank you very much. 3Rivers actually doesn't make their own shafts though. They buy them from Rose City at a very discounted rate. Pm me when you get the chance.

Hey G, I have a few of your cedar shafts left from a previous trade, but may need some more. Just curious though, how do you go about straightening cedars? You have a lot more practice than I do!

There
s alot of different ways with cedar. By hand with or without heat, paddle, shaft tamer, rolling on hard flat surface. These are some of the techniques that I've used. Anyone else have a different way?
