Jamie I can relate to working for the rich lazy yuppies.  I'm a carpenter from eastern long island.  I think we met at the primitive skills gathering in CT.  I know it's a long shot, but any knappers on the island or close?

Hi all. My name is Mel, was born ia Arizona and moved to Washington state ( Vancouver ) at 4 years old.Live there til I went in the Navy in 1970. Move back to Arizona to be near my grandparents (Prescott) for a few years then back to Washington,miss those Blacktails and Roosies, married a girl from Michigan, the U.P. and moved here about 20 years ago (got divorced). Just retired the 28 of june. Dont know where I'll end now.lol.

this is a really great site. I am from the hub of the universe London, England. Only joking.
I hope to go to Compton Trad Archery weekend next year to see all you interesting archery people. I am what they call a primitive archer here. Self made wooden bows and arrows, and I'm having great fun now with atlatls.

wilksboro, i went 2 pats a couple weekends ago with my brother and recently got a computer and internet
ive heard nothing but good stuff about this site and am excited to b hooked up 2 such a wealth of info
i saw some nappers and got myself some tools and some rocks (obsidian and ryolite and some rocks thats white)
i understand the basics (thanks guys) but any pointers and links would help
