Uh, wow.  That is one stout looking pike!  Maybe you are taking up jousting?  How far are you in the tillering process?

Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Photobucket is a tad epileptic tonite.  They are changing over to a newer, more rage-inducing format.

I'd actually like to hear more about this project. Dimensions on the two woods? How is it going?

i did make some, not as much as i would have liked, but i have bent it about 6 inches( including the 2 inches of glued in reflex) its still a little heavy, and feels like its could easily be over 160 right now which wouldn't hold up with these woods im guessing, so i need to remove some more wood to get to the target of 120-130, bit it feels like this might work well from what i have seen far

what way is it, is the oak the backing or the maple? As far as ive experienced, with a good oak board you can get away with oak backing because its good in tension.

I have to be honest I think in this case reflex is a bad idea; but good luck with it.

red oak is not really a good choice of backing, especially not a 120# bow, Bub
