Mullet ,Bonepile and jcinpc score some coral
« on: May 22, 2010, 04:15:21 pm »
We had a great day on the river. We all loaded the canoes and kayaks with coral and ledge flint. Roger has more pics but he lives 2+hours away and I`m only 15 minutes from the area so I uploaded first. These are just from my load, Roger got the biggest baddest coral head today and Eddie score some killer ledge and sweeeet candy coral

That is a whole mess of fine looking coral. Nothing like going with good friends and finding some good rock.

Heck yea! That was fun, but man am I sore. Jeff, I think I got that sweet candy coral from you. And that spot will definitely be a secret. I paddled behind Roger and Jeff and that canoe didn't have 4" of freeboard. Rogers head was so big it took the three of us to get it in the boat.

Oh, here's my haul and some of the Candy, Thanks, Jeff.

You should be ashamed of yourself. Keeping secrets like that. ;D

Yeah that was some kind of haul,a river rock safari for sure

Here's Jeff and Eddie hard at it

A  peice of killer coral

Hard at work trying to keep up wth the rockhounds

Now all we have to do is load it in the boats, unload it at the dock, load it in the trucks, and unload it at home, nothing to it.
All that's left is to bust it up

You guys make playing in the mud look fun. Nice haul, and looking forward to photos of what gets knapped out of it.

Yea, hear ya Tim. Jeff is usually digging his coral. I like this way better. And the water was just perfect.

Man, it looks like you guys really made a haul !  I wish I could have gone with you, but I had a family get together to go to yesterday.
But I would sure like to go before I leave for Montana full time.  Man the water looks nice too.  I don't have a canoe, so I would have to borrow one.  Looks like some really nice stuff.  Should make some beautiful points, and blades, after heat treating.  Have you ever done anything with it unheat treated?  Must be like working that unheated Texas stuff !  Man that is a sweet load there.  I guess you guys "were" sore after loading, unloading , and reloading, and unloading all that.  Man, I sure do want to make a trip like that before I leave.
