Sounds like another fun weekend lined up, good luck.

I'm going to hunt the Swamp this weekend. It's the last weekend of Archery on public land here.
Lakeland, Florida
If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Howdy Tennessee friends,
I just want to thank everyone for the wonderful visit and excellent hospitality on our recent visit. We only wish we had more time to spend. For me it was just so special to see Keenan be able to share with all that he has longed to meet for so long. As Miss Joanie said, it was like family and even though we had just met, it seemed very comfortable like we had known each other forever. What an awesome place the ranch is. Absolutely beautiful...and such an archery retreat!! Who would want to ever leave. Ha! Ha! ( only thing missing....were big bull elk) Sorry! ha ha! Pappy and Joanie thank you sooooo much for the visit!! Pappy, that was the best venison I have ever tasted, I mean ever!!! You got it down!! Take care everyone and thank you again. Marie...next year we still want to do the tipi bash! Blessings, LuLyn
Lulyn said it right. you guys are the best! Seeing everyone that came to meet us, meant more then you all could know. We truly did feel like we were with family and life long friends, The Twin Oaks Ranch is a special place for sure, But it is the kindred spirit of Pappy,Joanie and the gang that makes it so special. Even though we missed the Classic this last spring, it was so nice to be able to sit and visit, more on a laid back, relaxed pace, then we would have had at the Classic.
Thank you all for making our visit so special! Now we can better picture all that is going on down there when we read through these threads.   Thanks. Keenan

I also got to run over to Greg B's house to see some of his incredible knife skills. But my jaw really dropped when I got to take a close up of his snaky Osage bow that he posted last year. Greg that is one of the finest bows that I've ever seen. Incredible!!!      Keenan

Sorry I missd You Keenan...but it just couldnt be ...maybe at the Classic this coming Spring...glad you got to taste the Tennessee Hospitality first-hand though!

Eddie...Pappy...going to be a while before I get back out Hunting....We got our first rain in 5 Months...and got the whole Years worth in one day! 2-3 inches per hour....for about 5 hours straight,.....then it rained and drizzled all night and is still coming down a bit right now...Ground was so dry that it almost all of it run off....all of the dry Creek Beds all overflowing....and the Lease I have is in the Canadian River Breaks...is all deep Canyons...soil is all Caliche and Red CLay...so it's about impassable right now...maybe get back out by Sunday...will have to wait and see...We needed the Rain...but not like last Spring in Nashville... :-\....guess I can sit in the Backyard on the Deck...and go Dove Hunting with my Slingshot......... >:D

Sorry I couldn't have been there last weekend Keenan. I'd have loved to meet you and your wife.
I just got home today from a nice weekend of hunting down there. Didn't shoot anything, but had a great time anyway!
Took this photo with my phone while I was walking out this morning.

How many times you figure you've took a whiz behind this tree Pappy? ;D
