What do you guess the live weight to be on him?
-
well heck yea. cool pic we have a bear season this year in okie land only 20 tags but a chance.
-
I don't know but looks like a nice one. :)
Pappy
-
Ahhhh he's so cute :)
-
He looks big enough to show him plenty of respect I'd say! :)
-
I'm going to throw a guess out there and say around 400# give or take 50. We never had bears around this area in Pa until just a few of years ago. Now it seems they are showing up around here more and more.
-
Cool picture Ryan, and nice to know they are around. Nothing really to compare him to and he looks big, but I doubt he is in the 400# class. 400# is a big black bear. A huge bear will have a fat head and his ears will apear small on his head. Would you have any chance of getting a tag to be able to hunt him? Sure is black and pretty. I did not get a tag this year, they sell the archery tags here on a first come first served basis on some day in July, I spaced it off till noon and they sold out at by about 9:00 oclock. I am still mad, and with them terrorizing my elk camp to boot. Again cool picture. Kenneth

Excellent picture Ryan.If I had to guess,by comparing him to your salt block,I'd say 350#.. God Bless
-
Kenneth, we grow them XXL in PA. The state record black bear is over 800# This guys actually about middle of the road. I can buy a bear tag over the counter hear but I never have its only a three day gun season here and a 2 day archery season during the middle of the week. No dogs or baits. It just ain't worth it, not yet anyways. Maybe if they continue to get more densely populated or they eventualy change the laws a bit.
-
my guess is 250, any other pics of his head up or a side veiw?
-
also what do you think of the stealth cam? hows the batt life? how does it work in cold weather?
-
I would have to say he's a youngun, ears look really big and not very wide in the back side, I would say 200-250#.....
-
is that a 50# salt block next to his head?
-
Nice Bear Ryan...but 400....I am not to sure of that...His Ears are way long and His Head is quite Pointy still to have that much weight on Him....but none the Less....He is a nice specimen of an Eastern Black Bear!
-
Just a guess guys.
Pat, yes that is a salt block.
-

I'd never buy another one to be honest with you. It works fine but the company doesn't stand behind their product. Last year I had someone sabotage one of mine and stealth cam doesn't offer repair or replacement parts for it. period. So I'm out a $200 camera for a $2.00 part. I'd buy a cuddie back if I were you. I've heard nothing but good about them.
-
He sure does have a nice set of shoulders on him. I would stick him.
-
nice pic..He looks big enough to show him plenty of respect ;)
-
I thought it was a pig, LOL !

I spend a lot of time in Potter Co. and see bears almost every time I,m up.Can,t wait to hunt em with the recurve in a couple months.I,m headed up this weekend to pack in for a few days and see whats around.NICE BEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
ryan, bushnell has the same policy. sent one in and they cited several different restrictions with their repair policy on why they wouldn't fix it. i sent them a "nice" letter back telling them what they could do with themselves. i've been using the wild life brand trail cams for the last two years. $50 gets a great trail cam that's cheap enough to "lose" and not be out a ton of cash. i had one that was acting up. called the company and the fellow said to send it in with a note and they would replace it. no questions asked.
-
Thanks for the tip Chris. :)
-
I have heard that the Moultry 4.0 are good...and basically cheap. $100 or less. I had a stealth cam and it SUCKED!!! it wasn't digital and took 6, D cell batteries for each roll of 35mm film and 4 out of 5 rolls had no pics on them but were exposed.
-
Great picture bro.. looks like a nice bear... I would guess about 250 and in great shape... would make some great bear burger..LOL happy hunting Hawk

I have 3 of the 5 Meg Stealth Extreme Cameras and 1 of the 3 Meg Stealth Infrared Extreme Cams...and I love them all....even the Infrared one....because I hooked the Solar Panel Battery up Backwards and burned out the Stepdown Transformer that dropped the Juice from the 12 volt Panel to the 6 Volt Camera....and they still sent Me a New Camera....even though they knew what I did to mess it up....thats good Customer Service for ya!
