« on: November 10, 2008, 07:45:44 am »
Well I was off last week and was lucky enough to take a deer Sat. morning the first day off.We hunted pretty hard all week and seen a lot of deerand blew some shots.Finely got another chance the last Sat. morning of the week and took another. Both were take with my little Osage take down.
1 with a Cain arrow and one with a sour wood shaft, both with trade points. No horns but good week all the same. :)

Congrats on some fine shooting. I personally like eating and butchering the smaller ones. Nothing better than taking game with your own gear!

Well done Pappy.  Just to keep it even you can't hunt after Dec 15th when I leave  ;)
I suspect you'll get a couple more for sure.  You get to control the pressure on the farm and no guns.  You may be a well know deer hostel during gun season  O:)  Deer foolishly feel safer in your woods just because they don't hear the boom.  They have no idea how lethal Pappy's silent killer bows are.

You really got it going on.  I need to take a few pointers.  The NY season has been slow.  Many have seen light deer movement and the season end a week earlier than usual, due to the way the calendar falls.  I can't seem to close the deal this year.  Dave R took a spike last thursday.  One more time out this evening and them that's it until LBL.  Our gun season starts on Saturday and runs through December.

Congrat's Pappy! Lot's of meat for the year :). I don't know what kind of sick having the collard's would be but sounds like it might require a lot of toilet paper :-X :D..
