My first knife ...Kinda

Here is my first attempt at a stone blade knife. I guess you could call it that?
It is an obsidian point I made that is too big for an arrow, so I made a little shiv out of it. The handle is an old shed antler I found that the rats had gnawed on. I pine pitch to glue it in. The beads are some old 1700's trade beads ,except for the one round wooden bead.

the beads came from a friend of mine who collects them . he does all the big mountain man rendesvouuz.

Oh, and a lot of the old authentic stone knives that are found tend to be about that size and style instead of our usual concept of a big long skinny blade.

Thanks Hillbilly. I am gonna try and knap out another one with more of a klnife blade shape to it. I have a deer leg bone that is wanting to be a handle.
