« on: July 22, 2008, 09:59:30 pm »
Here is some pics of some rock i found not sure if its flint or some kind of chert. this is the best stuff I found.I have found some other rock and thought it was good untill I got it home and checked it out. I got it from flint river and would of got more but I got rained out. It seems to be good quality so far.

Looks like some good working stuff. I've never used any of that before, it kinda resembles the coral I got from mullet.

Nice looking stuff, Danny.  Is that Flint River as in Georgia?  I would like to have some of that sometime.  I live in Marietta.

I would be happy to make you a point, Danny.  By the way, we have a monthly flintknapping get-together in Newnan each month.  We would love to have you come to it.  There are many people just like you that want to learn to knap, and there are at least five guys that are great instructors.  We would be proud to have you if you can make it up here.  I think my email is on my profile.  If not, I will put it on there and you can email me.  I would love to try your rock.
