Osage D bow

Well this is at least my fourth try on one of these woodland D bows. I've always loved these bows but for some reason always had a lot of trouble getting one of these tillered, always ended up with way too much bend in the handle. I think I finally got close on this one. Let me know where I need to improve. It's osage that was cut back in December 2004, 64 inches, 1 1/8 wide at the handle just a hair under 3/4 at the tips and 45 @ 26. Shoots real nice and keeps just a little reflex after being shot and unstrung. For a finish I rubbed in some deer fat then burnished it then a couple more coats of fat. It has a linen string right now but I just got a deer hide out of the freezer to make a rawhide string for it.

Upper limb bends a bit more than the bottom one but some people do that on purpose. Looks beautiful. You shoulld be very proud.
