My First "Beer Bottle" Point

Two discarded bottle bottoms and two band-aids later, here is my first "beer bottle" point.  It's a tough job drinking all of that beer!

Good looking point Mike. Did you get the curve out of it?

For the most part, yes.  But if I had totally taken it out, it would have been tiny.

Nice one! and that brown glass is so much fun to get to ;D. TV picture tubes make some awesome points - it's large, it's thick, and has that smoked glass look to it.

Nice point Mike, how big is it?

All the discarded TV tube in the dumps and ditches have been shot out, should make them easy to pack out.   ;D.  I'm going to have to try that.  Sounds like fun.

It's 1 5/8" long (about 42 mm) and 1 1/8" wide at the widest (about 29 mm).

Nice point mike, I tried a few of them but by the time the bottle was empty I was ready for a nap not knapping ;)

That's a pretty fair sized point from a bottle.  Looks great.

Man that's nice.  How do you work glass, same way as flint or is manufactured glass a special technique?

Here are a couple more (hiccup).

Now these things are basically unifacial due to the curvature and thinness of the bottle bottom.

Nevertheless, they are a novelty.

Man those are nice.  The edges aren't as jagged as the first one and they look SHARP.  I gotta try me some of that some day.

Keep up the good work, and remember to knapp responsibly.   ;D

Yes those are looking very nice. Don't get too carried away though, all things in moderation ;D.
