This bow was a lot of firsts for me and was a real learning experience.
First real piece of sage I worked (not counting a kids bow).
First snaky piece of wood.
First time I backed a bow with slik and snakeskin.
First tip overlays.
Shortest bow I ever completed.
First bow I have ever not had any string follow on.
Second attempt at a leather wrap handle. Man that is tough especially when you contour the handle. I am not completely happy with it but it will do for now.
It was fun and a challenge and like I said a real learning experience. It came in approx 10 lbs under my target weight but I am extremely pleased with it.
stats are: 61" NTN, approx 42 lbs at 29". Dogwood tip overlays and shelf. backed with dyed silk and prairie rattler skins.
Enjoy.
