Increasing weight of glue on heads?
« on: January 08, 2026, 01:03:46 am »
Anybody know a good way to increase the weight of glue-on heads by around 20 grains?  I just got some really cool heads from 3rivers that weigh 125 gr.  I'd really like them to weigh 145.  Tried dumping lead shavings inside, but there wasn't enough room to glue on the arrow.  20 gr. of lead shavings takes up a surprising amount of room.

Could you drill out the shaft under the head and insert a piece of lead wire a little heavier than you need to add. The extra is to offset the weight you drilled out.
