First of all , thanks for your replies Lads . Yeh I am just talking about a plain bamboo back and belly bow without any core wood . However I did watch a video by " Wooden Ren " where he integrated a hardwood handle piece ( probably around 8" in length and not too much thickness ) into the belly of the bow by slightly recessing it by cutting away the bamboo ? First time Ive seen this method but it does make sense . The handle section was finished off by wrapping it in rattan which looked nice and probably gave a good secure bind to the handle .
