Yew stave Meare Heath style

Starting a Meare Heath style Yew bow, won't be replica as mt stave is 64" by 2".  Have to square the stave to fit the bow in and remove bark and sapwood before rough out!  May be able to keep 2" across the grain.
Life is far too serious to be taken that way!

Don't remove the sapwood. Make it even thickness, 1/4" or so and start building.
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!    Pat Brennan  Brevard, NC

Pat,
Got it!  first to get the very rough shaping on the belly!  Then manage the honey do list and  couple other projects that are hanging fire!
