takedown options....

was looking at trying to use some heavy duty pvc pipe to make a take down coupling... what do ya think????

i got some schedule forty.. the thickest i could find at the ace hardware... two inches in diameter... gonna try for forty five... pray for me... please :-\

i work with pvc pipe everyday. pvc is pretty tough, but i mnot sure about how well it would hold up. 2 problems i see. #1-    2 inch is pretty big for a grip area
#2 pvc breaks very easy in cold weather

I think I'd be a little scared of it. There's alot of pressure on it. Just for sake of info though it will make a make shift bow at really low brace heights.

   Use rawhide and sinew. You could use sch 80 but you better have a big hand.
