« on: May 12, 2008, 06:20:12 pm »
When I left Papy's i picked up some of the scraps and tossed it in my bucket here are a few points I made with the trash flakes,
2 obsidian and 2 rhyolite, something for a beginner to practice on anyway

Dana:  Good start!!  Do you mind if I ask what tools you used?  I might be able to send something you can use with the elk horns.  Watcher

Copper presure flakers and a 1/2" copper bopper, these were flakes and didn't require much percussion work.

Now I'm trying to spin up a fire with a hand drill rick t sent me, more fun eh :D

jamie I have a long way to go, in my opinion pressure flaking is the easy part, I can take a big chunk of obsidian and reduve it to splinters in about 6 whacks 8)

I will be hafting the bird points up and using em, might even shoot em at a deer :o

Copenhagen is organic and biodegradable. Just don't pick up flakes if you've seen Eddie standing there for a few minutes and they are damp and yellow.  :)
