Møllegabet 3000

Hey Guys
...almost forgot to post about this one...
This stave I traded for a piece of yew. The plan was to do another selfbow in my beloved møllegabet design; the last one I gave away to b2w Martin.
After the fisrt shavings I quickly realised that it was a good trade for me and that I even could go a little shorter on this one. I don't have too much experience with osage but this one really seemed to be a kings-piece. I ended up making an almost-copy of my hornbows.
It really was my greatest pleasure to work on this stave. I almost regret I finished it so quickly. Got a few checks from (un)necessary alignement corrections. Still being very happy with the outcome. Great shooter.
Specs:
60“ ntn
50# @ 28“
8 strands of bcyx
564 gramms
Thanx for watching

hollowing the tips for lightness instead of narrowing? did they seem to resist twisting better?
tricky stave, nice job. +

Very very nice. Looks like a gnarly piece of hedge turned into a beauty of a bow. Too bad you won’t be at the Tennessee Classic. The “Osage is King” tribe would welcome you with open arms! Ha.

thanx Guys, I really appreciate it! This piece of wood was a true lovestory. And as a polygamist I deeply hope to run into something similar in the near future
Willie: these levers are just a little spleen of mine. Off course they help a lot with stability. Executed with care they even can be made quite light. How light? I don't know...
