Allyn,, I just try to get the limbs to work even,, so the unbraced profile stays the same,,
Im not sure what its called,,but wood has so much variation,,it will vary from bow to bow,, unless its laminated and I think there is more controll,,this bow I just had what the stave gave me,, so I tillered it for that,, I didnt have the option to choose the shape of the bow,, just barely had enough wood to work with,, I did reflex the outers a bit,, but they straighten out a bit at full draw,,
I tried to make it bend even,, with the lower limb a bit stiffer,, in my experience,, the stiffer lower limb makes it easier for good arrow flight, and that might be the way I hold the bow and the string, and it could vary with different shooters,,if I get good arrow flight and the arrow does not hit my hand on release, I have it tillerd pretty good for me,, I hope that answers your question,, ask me a different way if I did not,,
Ok I thought about it a minute, I try to tiller the bow so it does not take too much set in any part of the limb,, or limbs,, and adjust the positive tiller so i can get good arrow flight,, if the bow shoots really well and does not change in the unbraced profile,, im pretty happy with that, no matter what it looks like,,
I started putting on the art work,, dont worry, if I dont like it I can paint it black and start over,,
