Wow Simson you really pulled that one off. It looks fantastic and I’m sure it shoots that way to. Thanks for sharing sir. Sure glad you are healthy enough to make and share your creations with us.

Brian, I'm recovering slowly. The fd pic is maybe at 65 pounds - no more. Hope I can gain back a bit more strength ...
But anyways, the job on a workbench don't effort much muscles   :D

Excellent and beautiful example of that style of bow simon. You and your camera do fine work also.
Reminds me of a leaf spring resting.

Ed, I feel that leaf spring reminder often with sinewed bows. But you are  right this specimen is some rare wood behavind similar. Also when shooting the bow, the tension at brace is enorm

Beautiful bow, you sure wouldn't think it was 76# by looking at it :D

DC, yes - especially when you're looking from the side where only thin limbs are visible. But looking at the front just think of a combi fo two 40 pounders mounted together side by side. so you get a 2" wide paddle  8)

Now that's what I'm talking about. Marvelous, simply marvelous.
Thanks Gordon, means a lot for me. You was one of my heroes which brought me to bowmaking

Nice job, I did a projected mass weight on it and it came out at 494 grams, you were very close to that.

Steve, thanks for your input. I hoped for your chiming in. In fact the weight is total, inclusive string (ca. 10 g) and handle wrapping (maybe 30 g)

Thank you all!
Stay safe!

Very attractive bow. You must have used a large stave, the back is really flat. Fine paddle bow!

Love the look of fumed Sage. That’s a very pleasing bend, and a proper hunting weight.

Wunderschone Arbeit  :BB

Thanks again, I honored to get these nice comments from master bowyers

It was a thick trunk but a bit short

That unstrung profile!!!
I must try some fumed sage. You did a fine job on this bow, I'm sure whoever gets to own it will be pleased.

Fantastic work! I had to do a double take to realize it was not sinew backed. This is the kind of work I aspire to do. Thank you for the insipiration!

Inspiring work.  (-S
