An old short Osage bow
« on: March 28, 2020, 08:54:35 pm »
I started this bow about 6 years ago.  I would work on it and come back to it, over time.  It’s about the thinnest piece of Osage I’ve fiddled on.  Whisper quiet when shot but I couldn’t help but put on the small black silencers.  Even quieter, but does give a little away in arrow cast.

I simply wrapped the grip in cotton thread and dusted it in Catlinite powder and waxed it.  I like the look of it.  It pulls 51# 24”.  Overall length is 55.5”.

Very nice bow Stephen, that simple stick design always have an extra elegance. I like the handle transition and that catlinite/wax finish.
Congrats!
