I gotta say this is a good story behind your generous gesture of a very nice bow. It's always good to see people doing what they like to do and getting paid for it.Getting others to come along on the enjoyment too. Most people call that the meaning of happiness.

Thanks Ed. It’s kinda nice that this piece of HHB found its way back home. Right where it belongs.

I agree with the work at stuff you love and even making some money at it. I’m guessing Larry doesn’t make a lot of money, but he’s rich in other ways. I like to be able to give back especially to someone who doesn’t ask for it and really appreciates it. I remember hearing a very wealthy person interviewed on the radio. I don’t remember his name. I do remember what he said. “ The only money he had that truly made him happy was the money he gave away.” I prefer my wealth to be things other than money and I thank my maker for it often.

I know this bow might not look really primitive with the maple leaf theme, but it’s not supposed to. It’s supposed to be at home and I think it is.

Thanks again everyone for looking

The artwork is very pretty but I look at the tiller and it appears you've gone gone the extra mile on this one.. VERY nice!!!

I know it’s been quite awhile since I first posted this bow, but I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately.

Thanks wooddammon1. I have a couple favorite ones and this is one of them. Most of my favorites are bows I made to give someone else. Larry has been a good friend and Neighboor and just plain a interesting fella.

I know it’s a old thread, but this time of year always reminds me of it.

this is one of the bows that stand out in my memory whenever i think about going out and trying to tap trees! funny how our brains connect totally different things together as if they were the same memory  :o ;D

I’m guessing we’ve been doing that for many many moons Russell.

Thanks Arvin. I keep scraping on that Osage you sent me once and awhile. It’s about right for my draw now. Really makes that Cherokee two fletch thump.

Cool bow and very nice gesture!  The leaves are a nice touch
Sticks and stones and other poky stabby things.
