Finely a Nice doe
« on: October 28, 2019, 06:50:05 pm »
Finely came together this morning, 94lb doe.Beginning to think I wasn't going to get it done this year. Made a good shot , liver and 1 lung but she still went a long way in some rough country. Thank goodness I have good friends, Shawn came and helped find and get her out. Not sure this old man could have drug her that far by myself. Thanks Shawn. Killed with my latest Osage/po cedar arrows with ace 160 head. :)

Was a fine early afternoon and a good shot. Woods are sure pretty right now. Nice mature doe.

Good Hunting

Good job sir. Glad to see you had help. Try to keep Dave in line when he is down there, it wont be easy.

Good shooting Pappy.  Your winter growth tells me it's gonna be a cold winter.  :OK   (S)

Not that old BJ, 38 or 39 I think, The last time I blanked with my bow was 1980. Never was very good with Math or school in general. ;) :) Thanks guy, much appreciated. Now it is raining for a couple of day so I need to get her cared for , then back at it hopefully Friday. :)

I knew that blanking stuff was not going to happen the way that bow/arrow cut through that big doe. We get after them when this 20 degree weather hits in a few days!

Oh yes sorry Pappy. 39 years is still a real testament to your passion for hunting this way. Also some well taken care of hunting property. Hope you get 39 more
