You need run off and its to late for snow,  rain is only a band aid that lasts only but a few days.

Up in the high country, there are 2 seasons - winter and August, we aren't real sure about August!  Some of the ski areas plan to be open until July 4th or later.  But the runoff is a mixed blessing, a number of creeks and rivers are closed to tubing and/or rafting because of the dangerous conditions.
On the other hand, we have been abnormally dry for several years and just pulled out of drought conditions statewide!  We'll take moisture any way we can get it here! (lol)
