Over the fence
« on: December 18, 2018, 03:34:06 am »
So, this is the first bow that shoots over the fence above our house.
The measuring tool says 162 meters (177yards) plus positive elevation uphill of 25 meters (27 yards) - don't no what this actually counts but this fence always was my benchmark!!!! Yeah!!! I are being so happy!!!  (SH) It was a 370 grain arrow and the 440 grain arrow did about 3 meters less.

This elm bow pulls 43# @ 28" and took minimal set - i think i can finish it now - do you also consider that tiller as +/- ok?

Have a nice day! cheers

That looks great! And awesome job on achieving your goal!
How do you like that hanging scale you have there. I’ve been looking at that exact one.

Yeah, that elevation must be a killer.
Maybe go up the top and shoot back the other way averaging the distances. ( Taking care not to shoot yourself ;) )

High-D: That chinese scale works but is simply crap: You can read the cheap cheap display only from one certain angle when looking slightly from beyond - so when pulling full draw on the rope you have to knee down to read it - any recommendations for a decent scale are welcome!

Del: Smart idea but i'm afraid loosing my arrows in the nirvana that way - did another series in more flat terrain and got 196 yards...  :BB

Good looking bow simk.  Nice job reaching your goal.
Your full draw strikingly resembles your fence line that you shot over.  Coincidence??? I think not!

It would be neat to see what you’d get through a chronograph.

Thanks Simk, that’s what I need to know. And thanks DC, I’ll check that one out!

Oh yeah, that makes sense.  You probably don't want to shoot at your house. LOL.  Sorry, I was in a rush to be clever.

I think that tiller looks good and your distance results agree!  ;)
