Bone tips

Any reason not to use bone instead of horn when making "horn" tips? I was thinking that white might look nice.

Never used bone. But i do use quite a lot of moose antler which finishes up bright white

I guess you would have to use the tips of antler because of the spongy center?

Bone has an other cell structure then horn. In some directions it will break/split easier.

Moose is not as spongy as deer or elk.  Most of it can be used.
