Simply Orange (hunting pictures pg4)
« on: August 20, 2018, 03:58:13 pm »
I posted this one awhile back unfinished. It's actually my first osage bow and it's nothing but a Osage , a string and tru oil. I call it "Simply Orange". I've been shooting it for about nine months now and it's really holding its profile nicely. To tell you the truth it's been so long since I had it on the tree I kinda forgot it's draw weight but somewhere close to 50@25". If I remember right it's 62" ttt. I actually hunted with it late muzzle loader season last year without any finish on her. I plan on hunting with her this year and it's coming soon. Just thought I'd share a few pictures with you all.
Hope you like em.

Nice looking bow - I like "simply osage" selfbows.  Well done.
Enjoy the hunt!  Mitch

Anything added to that would just be superfluous.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Why guild a lily?

That's everything a traditional bow should be. I love it.  )P(

Thanks everyone. I'm glad you like it. I thought about putting tip overlays on but I couldn't make myself do it. It really is amazing to me what a sliver of this wood will do.
