I am thinking 9.5 to 10 sq ft. I didn't think it was this large when I picked it out of my dry hides pile, had four small holes to take care of. Broadheads leave nasty hole in hides :( Bob

Rob, that's a good question, just went up and measured it. 4'-10" wide by 5'-4" high on the inside, could stand to be a little taller. Bob

That’s looking great! You’ll hve to post pictures once you get it smoked.

Do you dry scrape the hair off or use a bucking solution?
I keep intending to do that, But usually get distracted at the hair stripping step, they freez up, and it disappears into the lye water. I’ve learned that even frozen in a block of ice, the lye from wood ash will dissolve a hide pretty quickly. But the hair and grain strip off great once properly soaked.

Kyle , most of my hides have been wet scrape, I don't use wood ash anymore. Been using KOH instead. Bob

I am going to try some with fall with egg yoke and oil tanning. I watch this tanner working with a flat pry bar. He would push the 90 degree angle side point first across the hide and stretch it as it dries. Do the entire thing and then another and just keep switching as they dried. Look amzingly simple and easier to work with than other wear your butt out methods.
