The Birth of Pikey
« on: April 17, 2018, 10:28:02 am »
Ok guys, so it seems like the piking was a grand success.  The bow looks even better drawn and is now weighing in at an amazing 57lbs at 28".  I did make sure to stretch her out about 50 times before I weighed her in or shot her.  The bow is now shooting amazing!.  Now she i really zipping them arrows faster and straighter, and of course with significantly better penetration on the target.

Here is the bow braced after piking it, and I will post photos of me drawing it post piking, once I get someone to take a photo.  She was at 70" originally, nock to nock, and I brought her down to 66", two inches off each limb.  THANKS A MILLION GUYS!!

From that tangle the brace height looks a little high, could be just the picture.  I have found that a 6" to 6 1/2" brace height works well on selfbows.
